This is an 18ft X 28ft deck that I built. It is custom fitted to the Fifth Wheel RV and has a built in Hot Tub. The client decided on the size and layout that they wanted, along with the finished features.

This is the RV sitting on site just before I started setting posts. Previously, I installed Sewar, Water and Electricity for the RV. The cement pad was already present and a big part of deciding the location to park the RV.


The basic framework for the deck.

For maximum strenght, all posts are notched. This makes for the strongest possible attachement.

Decking is down, as are the stairs. The hot tub is in place and the framing is almost done for that too.

The hot tub was just the fiberglass tub. I built all the wood that holds in in place, custom fitted for the hot tub. The gate on the railing is child proof with a lockable latch. The handle is attached to a 4x6 post, instead of a standard 4x4 post.

When I ran water for the RV, I also caped off a line for this spicket to supply water for the hot tub. Then while framing it up, it was a simple task to install the water spicket.

The second post to the left of the stairs has one of the two outdoor electrical outlets. All wires are in approved conduit and the outlets are on the outside of the posts, to make them safe for kids.
