Kitchen and Dining room viewed from the very large family room. This room is 40ft long and 20 ft wide. The breakfast bar is almost 12ft long.

The walk in pantry is just off the back door. It's 4ft by ten feet with custom shelves that I created on three sides. There is a space on the back wall for a freezer. The shelves are at differnt heights to allow for various sized items to be stored on them.

This breakfast bar has some really nice brackets from a supplier in Dallas. They are not intended for this, but work really well to give create a very solid, heavy duty counter that looks extremly nice.

The kitchen is wide open to the family room with the breakfast bar being a key feature. The counters are 12inch by 12inch granite that I trimmed in oak to match the cabinets. This is a very good way to get a granite counter at a fraction of the cost.

The backsplash behind the stove should always have more detail and be something special. I worked with the client on tiles they liked, then created them a custom design. Notice how the center tiles seem to stand out in front of the other tiles.

The kitchen is almost finished in this picture. It shows the backsplash, cabinets and granit countertops off nicely. If you look above the cabinet over the stove, you can see how I wraped the exhaust vent with matching oak to make it blend in with the cabinets.
