All the original drain lines were in the wrong location for the new floorplan. Instead of trying to tie into the existing lines, it was faster, cheaper and better to run brand new lines. As the lines came outside of the house, they tied into a new main line that went to the existing septic tank. To make it easier to unplug future drain issues, I put in multiple cleanouts to allow access in both directions of the lines.

The new locations for the utilities were measured and marked on the slab foundation. I then cut through the slab and dug down for the drain lines. Then I tunneled under the slab to those locations and installed the brand new drain pipes. This picture shows the drain line for the new whirlpool tub in the Master Bath. Notice the S trap and how it ties into the drain line!!!

This is the Laundry Room drain and water supply box with vent line. Fitting all these pipes between the framing studs is just one of those things that I personally find interesting, and why I posted this picture. It's just cool!!!!

The new drain lines for the Master Bath's whirlpool tub, outside cleanout and toilet are in place and cement has been poured to seal off the openings in the slab.

The whirlpool tub is in place with a removable front panel to allow access to the components of the tub in case of repairs in the future. There is also a large display shelf built into the wall above the tub that will have glass shelves after it's painted. This was something that I suggested to the homeowners as a nice way to display towels and items she enjoys seeing while relaxing in the tub. She liked the idea, but had no idea how much she loved it until it all came together.

Octagon recess I built into the Master Bedroom. The trim was just painted when I took this picture, and they were still deciding on what fan to put there.

Master Bath Shower. Instead of a traditional tile for the floor, I suggested breaking up the same tile that they have for the bathroom floor and using the small pieces to create a mosiac type floor that will allow for the drain contours of the shower floor. This worked out really well and is a favorite feature of the homeowners. I also built in two recesses shelves to store soap and shampoo on either side of the shower valve handle.
