This is the original home with the pad poured for the addition and wrap around porch. The home will just about double in size from a small 3 bedroom, one bath, to a spacious 3 bedroom, two bathromm that will have a luxury master bath and a huge family room that's open to the kitchen.

This is the finished home with 1,920 sq ft of inside living area. The wrap around porch adds approximately another 4oo sq ft of area to enjoy the outdoors. Notice the porch swing at the corner. This was very important to the home owners, and a real nice way for them to relax. Above them is a small ceiling fan.

The roof has both a 3:12 and a 7:12 pitch with tons of storage in the attic.

The front porch has a nice entry, along with plenty of space to get out of the weather. Eventually the home owners plan to replace the ceiling lights with outdoor ceiling fans.

The framing had to take into consideration the original home and tying them together into one new home that will be impossible to tell the old from the new. This is what makes what I do so much fun!!!!

The windows and doors really made the home look amazing. From the octagon window in the attic, to the 6ft tall windows in the family room, it all ties together to create a very nice home.

I like to use headers above doors, windows and entryways bigger then code calls for. The added expense in material is minimal, but the long term advantages are priceless. This header is made from a pair of 2x12's with plywood sandwiched between them, with liquid nails and screws holding it together. It's strong enough for a garage door 16 foot opening, but here it's only a six foot span. I also bolt all the exterior walls to the foundation and in locations like this header, I bolt the walls to the foundation on either side. This garantees the strenght and integrity of the framing!!!!!

This is the family room. To span the 40ft length, I installed three glulam beams, and tied the roof trusses to those beams to create an open area with minimal expense that is extremly strong!!!!! Notice those headers over the windows.

I installed recessed lights in the kitchen. These create excellent lighting with a very clean, open look to the ceiling.
